Lisa Brakefield

 

After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from UCF and working in family counseling, Lisa realized she had a hunger to work within the hustle and bustle of the business world…so what next? Human Resources was the natural fit so she went on to obtain her Master’s degree in Human Resources.  Her first HR role was at Carmax where she traveled the country opening new locations and establishing hiring practices. Lisa then moved to the Tampa area where she provided HR consulting services to small & medium size companies.  From there she spent 10 successful years with a telecom company as the Director of HR.  Once that company was sold in 2009, she pioneered an insurance company as an owner of Advanced Insurance Brokerage, with Health and Life insurance as the primary markets, on beautiful Anna Maria Island. This opportunity provided an incredible work/life balance, living in paradise and using her business acumen to assist small business owners obtain property and casualty coverage and benefits for their teams.  After 8 successful years, Lisa merged her agency with the Clegg Insurance Group from Clearwater, FL to create a larger footprint and work with other seasoned professionals and add enhanced product offerings to her clients. Offering guidance and a positive approach to small businesses is her forte and she loves what she does every day!
